Guidelines:
- Design must be new
- Link up by 12/25 - 11:59 pm EST

Here is what I came up based on this beautiful photograph:

I've been meaning to scrap these photos of my oldest son for the longest time and this challenge helped pushedme to do so. He was almost four months old in these pictures! How time flies and shows that I'm way behind on my scrapbook pages!!

To create my background, I used a MS Cherish (Framed Dots) Punch Around the Page set on the Antique Wonder Collection Pattern Paper. I then threaded each dot with red floss that I purchased from JoAnn's.
I then adhered it onto Pine Tree Green card stock

For the each 4x6 picture, I created a 5x7 mat out of the Antique Wonder Collection Pattern Paper. The photo corners were punched from a MS Photo Corner Punch out of the same Pine Tree card stock. The tabs were cut from a My Creative Time Stitched Tab Die.

For the upper left photo tab, I stamped on the "December 2007" from PKSC-24 December 2013 SOTM set. The lower right photo tab, I stamped " Merry Christmas" from PKSC-19J uly 2013 SOTM.

The twine comes from American Crafts.

The holly jolly Santa was stamped and paper pieced from PKS-332 Santa Set. I colored in the boots, face, and belt with Copic Markers. I added Crystal Glitter by Puffy Paint to accent the fur on his hat and coat.

The presents were stamped and paper pieced from PKS-15 Oh By Golly set and the bows are from PKS-13 Decorate Me Tree.

The sentiment was cut out from a coordinating paper tag from the Antique Wonder Collection using the Stitched Square Speech Bubble Die from My Creative Time.

The adorable Christmas Tree was stamped and paper pieced from PKS-12 Santa Tree. The little star also comes from PK-13 Decorate Me Tree. The little jewels are from Recollections.

I added Crystal Glitter to each bow to give them a bit of Christmas sparkle.

Well that's my creation and I hope I've given you a bit of inspiration!! Thank you so much for stopping by!! I hope you all have a wonderful Christmas and a Happy New Year!!

Big Hugs!!

Emily

Sweet Gingerbread Girl

Hi, today I have a card to share that I created with an adorable little gingerbread girl!

The gingerbread girl comes from Too Cute by Jessica: Whip it up Ginger. I cut her out of Recollections Kraft paper and then inked the edges with Brown Memento Ink. For her face, I used Peachy Keen's 1" Piles of Smiles face assortment. I colored in the mouth with Copic markers and used a white gel pen to accent the mouth and eyes to look like frosting.

For her accessories, I used Peachy Keen's PKSC-21 September 2013 (spoon) and Peachy Keen's In the Kitchen (whisk).

For her bow, I used PKSC-13 January 2013 and the heart comes from PKSC-17 May 2013.

For the card base, I used Too Cute by Jessica: Lots of Labels. I cut out the base using the Kraft card stock as well. I then added white faux gel pen stitching with my gel pen. The next layer was cut using a red Recollections card stock. The third layer, was cut from MS paper and I inked the edges with green Colorbox ink.

The twine is from American crafts.

The jewels come from Recollections.

The sentiment lavel is from My Creative Time.

The sentiment comes from Pink by Design.

Thank you for stopping by!! Have a happy crafty day!!

I had so much fun paper piecing the Santa from Peachy Keen's PK-332 Santa Set. His face, beard, boots, belt, and buckle were colored in using various Copic markers.

To give him a bit of glitz, I used Crystal Glitter by Puffy Paint on his hat and coat.

For the sentiment, I stamped and paper pieced the speech bubble from Peachy Keen's PKSC-24 December 2013. I then stamped on the sentiment from the same set.

The poinsettia was created using Cricut's Flower shop and the leaves are from a Lawn Fawn Die. I inked the edges of each petal and leaf with Memento Cocoa Brown ink.

The 4x4 Stitched Square is from My Creative Time called Journal Die & More.

The pattern paper is from My Mind's Eye.

The green card stock is from Colorbok.

The balloons are from the PKSC December 2013 set. I stamped and colored each one with Copic Markers. Then I put glossy accents on the them to make them shiny like a real balloon. I then tied regular sewing string around each one and tied them to the tails.

If you've seen the comic duo's video then you know what this sentiment is all about!! :) I so wish it would have been one of the sentiments!! ;) Oh no, now that song is stuck in my head! Hehehe!

PKS December 2013 (fox, speech bubble, and the word "FOX")

Peachy Keen Stamps: Celebrating Christmas Blog Hop

Hi, Emily here and if you've come from Samantha's blog then your in the right place! If you are just stopping by and want to start at the beginning of the hop, please head on over to the Kristi's blog

Welcome to the Peachy Keen Stamps: Celebrating Christmas Blog Hop (Nov. 29 and 30)!! I'm so excited to be a part of this!! So many wonderful past and present designers!! Plus, we are getting creative and celebrating Christmas Peachy Keen style!

Peachy Keen Stamps will be providing an amazing Christmas stamp bundle with a retail value of $150 to one lucky winner!! So exciting!! To be entered to win, you will need to leave a comment on each blog post. The winner will be announced on Monday, December 2nd.

Here is my creation: A pumpkin snowman with an adorable PK face.

Right after Halloween, I went to Wally world to find some pumpkins for this project. I got the two larger pumpkins for $1 each. I got the smaller pumpkin there as well for 60% off. It is a craft decor' pumpkin.

I painted all of them with white acrylic paint.

The neighbor's cats decided they needed to supervise me while I painted.

Would have love to have found the white pumpkins but painting them was the next best thing! :)

For the snowman face, I used PK-1203 The Moodies 4" Face Parts. I just love working with them!!

I stamped and paper pieced the eyes, mouth, and eye brows onto white card stock. I used a Peach Copic marker for the tongue and Real Processed Blue Copic marker for the eyes. I then adhered them with a fast drying adhesive.

I chalked his cheeks with a peachy pink chalk ink.

For his nose, I got some orange polymer molding clay. After I molded it how I wanted it to look, I used a small kitchen knife to create lines on it to give it more of a carrot look. I adhered the nose with a glue gun.

Once I had the face finished, I stacked them onto one another and held them in place with Shish Kabob skewers. They worked quite well. Though if you are going to move it I would have some help. It was very heavy and you don't want any piece falling off the skewers.

I created his coal buttons out of polymer clay as well. I adhered them with the glue gun also.

The scarf I purchased at the Dollar Tree.

The arms are obviously tree branches. My son and I found them on the ground near the local woods on base. We didn't want to tear into an existing tree branch.

I had originally purchased a top hat at JoAnns but I felt it just didn't look right on it. So I was thrilled to find a paper mache' one at Michaels.

Since it was brown, I painted it with black acrylic paint. I then decorated it with items from the previous hat, Dollar Tree garland, and PK-1340 Clearly Autumn Quart Jar Contents

For the pine cones, I stamped them first with Versamark ink and used a MS black embossing powder. Then I colored them in with a Cocoa Brown Copic Marker.

Well that is my project!! I hope you have been inspired!! Thank you so much for stopping by!!

Plus, don't forget about the amazing sale going on right now over at Peachy Keen Stamps!!! You can shop right out of the comfort of your own home and get amazing prices on these wonderful stamps!!

Happy Anniversary!

Today, I have a card to share with all of you that I created for my grandparents 60th Anniversary!!! Wow, isn't that amazing? I've been married for only 7 years and I hope that our marriage has that same longevity! Though how my grandma put up with my grandpa all these years, I'll never know! Hee, hee! :)

The card base is 4 3/4" by 4 3/4".

The birds come from Peachy Keen's Love Birds and Sentiments.

The bird bath comes from PKSC-April-2012

The sentiment comes from PKSC-January-2013

The corners comes from an old EK Success Punch. Sorry I don't know the name any longer.

I colored the banner, birds, bird bath, and doily with Copic Markers.

To make the doily and banner sparkle, I used Versamark ink with Ranger Holographic Embossing powder

The faux jewels came from Michaels.

The little heart comes from My Creative Time.

So that is my project and I hope you've been inspired! Thanks for stopping by and I hope you have a wonderful holiday!!

Peachy Keen Stamp Challenge 13-46: Anything Goes

Hello and welcome to another great Peachy Keen Stamp Challenge.

Today is........Anything Goes!!!

THE CHALLENGE
Create a project using Peachy Keen Stamps. Anything goes! We'll be awarding "TOP PEACH" to the player who uses their Peachy Keen Stamps this week and our two runner ups will receive a spiffy badge to display on their blog.

 Guidelines:
 -Design must be new
 - Link up by 11/20 - 11:59 pm EST

So here is what I have created for today's challenge.....

I picked up all these wooden spools at A.C. Moore and JoAnns. Thank goodness for coupons or they would have been a bit pricy. I recommend looking online to see if you can find a better deal.

I covered each one with paper from Colorbok: Homespun Signature Collection. Then glued them one by one onto the wreath.

I stamped and paper pieced the sewing machine from PKSC-November 2013  using the same paper line. Though you can't see it very well, I added a real needle to the sewing machine. I also took the smallest wooden spool I had, cut it in half, and added pink floss string around it.

I also stamped and paper pieced the little spool from PKSC-November 2013 and added the same pink floss around it. I then added two push pins to embellish it.

The burlap ribbon that holds the wreath up and the bow are from Michael $1 bins.

So that is my project and I hope I've inspired you!!!
Thanks for stopping by and please visit the PKS blog to see more inspiration for this week's challenge. So looking forward to all of your creations!!

Thankful Blog Hop

Hello and welcome, Emily here at Creations of An Army Wife. I'm so excited to be to using my Peachy Keen Stamps along with the wonderful cut files from Pretty Papers, Pretty Ribbons!! Lisa has so many cute files as well as digital papers and stamps!! So please be sure to check her store out!!

So let me share with you what I created for today's hop......

I decided that this cut file would go along great with a thankful tree. So I had my oldest son help me to pick out some PK sentiments that would help convey what blessings we have and are very thankful for. My son was persistent that we have one that said "Bugs". He is right, we do need to be thankful for bugs because they help bring the beautiful flowers. :)

I wanted to add some pictures of my two boys as well as my baby girl that will be born next year. It may be hard to tell but that is her head shot from my 19 weeks ultrasound. My son said I couldn't leave out my fur babies either. So we added Oliver and Orion as well!

How gorgeous is this Pretty Papers, Pretty Ribbons title? I just love it!! Perfect for your fall projects.
