My Creative Time: Made In Minutes

Hi, today is Made in Minutes over at the My Creative Time Blog and I am still on a chick kick!

So here is my "Chicks Rule" tag that I made in no time at all!

For the base of the tag, I used MCT: Just Tags Stamp Set. I cut the bottom layer out of Kraft Card Stock. Then I cut the top layer out of Core' Dinations Card Stock and embossed it with a Darice Folder. Then I added Recollection's Ribbon to the top. This took four minutes tops.

I then stamped and paper pieced this adorable hip chick from Peachy Keen Stamps: Faceless Chickens. The face comes from Peachy Keen Stamps: Sunny Side Up Sentiments. I then highlighted the chick with Copic markers and a white gel pen. This took the longest out of anything and it was five minutes. What saved me time was not cutting out the feet.

Next, I stamped the sentiment from MCT: Hello Chickie Stamp Set onto a die cut from MCT: Stitched Square Speech Bubbles. I then adhered it to the tag with pop dots.

To finish, I cut out two strips of grass using the MCT: Stitched Grass die and glued them to the bottom of the tag.
Putting this and the sentiment on took three minutes.

Well that's my project!! Thank you so much for stopping by!! Please head on over to the My Creative Time Blog to see the rest of the design team's amazing creations!!

My Creative Time-Try Me Tuesday

Hi, today is Try Me Tuesday over at the My Creative Time Blog! For this try-me, we are making our card base using a die.

For my card, I used the MCT: 4x4 Journal and More Die to create my base.

The cute little chick was cut out using a cutting file from Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons. I then added a face from Peachy Keen Stamps: Sunny Side Up Sentiments.

Next, I cut out the grass from MCT: Stitched Grass Die and adhered it to the bottom of the blue card stock.

Then I cut out the speech cloud bubble from MCT: Stitched Round Speech Bubbles and added the sentiment from MCT: Hello Chickie Stamp Set.

I finished the card by added a couple of eggs also from MCT: Hello Chickie, some sequins, and twine.

All products used:
Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons Cute Chicks Cutting File

Peachy Keen Stamps: Face Day

Hi, today is Face Day at the Peachy Keen Stamp Blog. So I decided to use a couple of my favorite face assortments on a Easter card. Though who am I kidding? I love all the Peachy Keen face assortments. :)

The bunny shaped card was cut out using a file from SVG Cutting Files. For the bunny's eyes, I used PK-490-3 Everyday Character Faces 4" and then colored them in with a Copic marker. These 4" faces are a must have in my book! Especially, if you are creating a project that requires a larger face.

For his nose I used My Creative Time's Stitched Sweethearts. I then added chalk ink and black dots. Then I finished his face by free handing his buck teeth.

For the carrot's face I used PK-293 The Cornies face assorment. It looks too cute on the carrot. I colored his teeth in with a white gel pen.

The grass was cut out using My Creative Time's Stitched Grass. I then added the sentiment to it from PKSC-27 March 2014 stamp of the month kit.

Well that is my project and I hope I've given you some inspiration using these wonderful faces!

Thank you so much for stopping by! Happy Stamping and crafting!

Now to share my project!

For my project, I used the brand new chicken wire background stamp and sentiments from the March Mid-Month release. They match up perfectly with the PKS-Faceless Chickens and PKS-Chickie Faces. I love that the sentiments have a couple of faces to create a cool chick with glasses. I know you are going to love them too!

I stamped and paper pieced each little chick. I created another nest just like I did on my card for the March release. If you didn't see it here is how I created it. For the nest, I first started with a base nest that I cut out using my Cricut and the Baby Steps cartridge. I then covered it with craft raffia grass. I cut out the two eggs using My Creative Time's Hello Chickie die and colored them with a Copic "Shell" colored marker.

For the title, I used my Cricut and Cricut Craft Room Basics. I then added white gel pen accents.

For the little picture frames, I cut them out using My Creative Time's 4x4 Journal Die and More. Then I stamped each one with the new chicken wire background stamp. I then cut out the banner die from My Creative Time's Chocolate Greeting Die and added a coordinating sentiment to each picture. They are all from the new sentiments except "Blessed!" comes from PKSC-27 March 2014. I created it from the "God Bless You" stamp and the "Hitched" stamp.

I then used mini clothes pens that I got at Wal-Mart to add them to the chicken wire frame.

The new stamps are available for purchase in the Peachy Keen Stamps Store.

Thank you so much for stopping by and please head on over to Amber's blog.

My Creative Time: Made in Minutes

Hi, today is Made in Minutes over at the My Creative Time Blog!

Also, A Happy St. Paddy's Day to all of you!!

We are to make a project that is simple and can be made in 15 minutes or less.

So here is my project for today.

I created this quick and simple pot of gold for my two boys in 15 minutes. They are going to love it!!

I found the cute little jar at the Dollar Tree. I though it looked like a pot of gold.

1. I first filled it with the sweets. This took about 7 minutes. Sorting the Skittles for the rainbow is why it took so long,

2. I added ribbon and a little shamrock from My Creative Time: I'm a Lucky Girl Stamp Set. Took 3 minutes roughly.

3. I cut out the My Creative Time: Stitched Curly Die and the Curly Label Die. Then I stamped on the sentiment (My Creative Time: You're My Pot of Gold) and the shamrock ornate (My Creative Time: I'm a Lucky Girl Stamp Set) onto the die cut. I then cut a skewer down and adhered the die cut to it. This roughly took 5 minutes.

All products used:
My Creative Time: I'm a Lucky Girl Stamp Set
My Creative Time: You're My Pot of Gold
My Creative Time: Stitched Curly Die and the Curly Label Die
Dollar Tree Jar
Details and Accessories Ribbon
Recollection's Glitter Paper
Memento Tuxedo Black and Cottage Ivy Inks
cooking skewer
1 bag of Rolos
1 bag of Skittles

Peachy Keen Stamps: March Color Challenge

Hi, today we have a fantastic color challenge going on over on the Peachy Keen Stamp Blog. It will get you ready for spring with the beautiful colors!

So here is what I've created based on a few of the colors.

The card base and praying girl are both from SVG Cutting Files. Her adorable face was stamped from Peachy Keen Stamps: In the Garden Face Assortment.

I omitted part of her hair bow and used a die from My Creative Time's Hello Chickie Set instead. The little rose on her belt was stamped and paper pieced from Peachy Keen Stamps: Janice and Matt Wilson set. I completed her belt by adding a ribbon cut out from My Creative Time: Stitched Balloon Die Set.

Though it may be hard to see I added tulle to the bottom of her dress and glossy accents to her shoes. I then added white gel pen accents and a small Recollection's Pearl to her bow.

For the paper ribbon accents, I used My Creative Time's Treat Slider Box die along with the Mini-Bow Die.

I stamped the sentiment from the new PKSC-March 27 SOTM set onto a die cut from My Creative Time: Chocolate Greetings Stamp set.

The doily came from the Target dollar bin last year around Valentine's Day.

All products used:
SVG Cutting Files
My Creative Time: Treat Slider Box Die, Hello Chickie Die
Mini-Bow Die, Chocolate Greetings Stamp Set, and Stitched Banner Die
Recollection's Pearls
White Gel Pen
Colorbox Ink
Memento Tuxedo Black Ink

My Creative Time-Inspiration Wednesday

Hi, today is Inspiration Wednesday over at My Creative Time.

My project was inspired by the following picture.

I just love the sparkly shamrock! So I created a simple tag with my own sparkly shamrock using MCT: You're My Pot of Gold Stamp Set.

For the base of the tag I used MCT: Just Tags Stamp & Die Set.

I cut the back layer out of the sparkly paper and the front layer out of Kraft paper. I embossed the Kraft paper with a 5x7 Polka Dot embossing folder. I finished the tag by adding Jute ribbon to the top.

The sentiment also from  MCT: You're My Pot Of Gold Stamp Set was stamped onto a die cut from MCT:

Vintage Label Dies. I then added some gold sequins to finished the tag.

The card base was cut from SVG Cutting Files: Simple Label Card. For the white background, I embossed it with a 5x7 Cuttlebug Folder called Chicken Wire.

I embellished the card base with Recollection's Jute Ribbon and then created a paper bow using My Creative Time's Mini Bow Die.

Welcome Friends!
WOW!  Our sneak peek days are flying by because here we are at Day #3 already!  Have you enjoyed what you've seen so far?
Today, we’re introducing you to a sweet and very special stamp set.
Say hello to some very special friends of Peachy Keen Stamps
PK-1360 Mat & Janice Wilson!!!
Isn't this set so cute? I love this pair!!! Plus, they are named for a very sweet and creative lady along with her hubby.

Wine is usually a wonderful gift to give to the bride and groom to help them celebrate a new life together. So I decided to create a wine tag with this wonderful set. The tag is an svg file from SVG Cutting Files.

I then embellished her waist with a pearl. For the groom, I stamped him with Versamark ink and used white embossing powder to have it show up on the black. For all the flowers, I colored them with a Copic Marker and added Glossy Accents on top.

I stamped the embellished label with Versamark ink and black embossing powder on the bottom. Then I added the sentiment. Both are from the new PKSC-March 2014 SOTM set.

To finish, I added ribbon, pearl accents, and a little flower.

All products used:

I first cut out this little basket from SVG Cutting Files. Then I embossed the base with the Anna Griffin: Matelasse embossing folder. I inked the edges with Tim Holtz: Tea Dye Distress Ink.

To decorate the little basket I cut out strips of grass using My Creative Time's Stitched Grass Die Cut and eggs from My Creative Time's Hello Chickie.

Then I stamped and paper pieced the adorable little bunny wabbit. I colored him with Copic markers. Then I stamped and paper pieced four more little carrots for the basket.

The little chick comes from My Creative Time's Hello Chickie and I stamped on the adorable eyes from the new stamp of the month set. They are such a cute addition to any little chick.

I cut the the tiny basket out also from My Creative Time's Hello Chickie and then used the same tea dye ink on it. I stamped and paper pieced the little bow and adhered it to the top. I then added the sentiment to the front.

To finish the basket, I added paper grass and candy filled plastic eggs both from the Dollar Tree

Peachy Keen Stamps: March Sketch Challenge

Good morning!!

If you are looking for the My Creative Time Blog hop please click here

Today we have a great Peachy Keen Stamps sketch challenge for the month of March.

I took the sketch and flipped it a bit.

When I saw this little house from PKS: House with Spare Windows, I thought it looked like a little girl's doll house. I didn't get a chance to use it during last month's release so I thought I would make something with it for this challenge.

Of course how could I have a doll house without a little girl? So I found this adorable cut file from SVG Cutting Files: I pick you. I added a Peachy Face from PKS: The Moodies. I also added a small heart to her dress that I stamped and paper pieced from PKSC: May 2013.

As you can see, I used flowers instead of circles. I stamped and paper pieced the flowers from three different PKS sets. It was time consuming but I love the results. The large pink flowers came from PKS: Hey Baby, the middle white flowers came from PKSC: March 2013, and the smallest blue flowers came from PKS: House with Spare Windows.

I finished the card by added the sentiment from PKS: Wright Avenue.

All products used:
SVG Cutting Files: I Pick You
MCT: Hello Chickie
MCT: Stitched Grass
MCT: Stitched Speech Bubble
Memento Tuxedo Black Ink
Copic Markers
Simple Stories: Vintage Bliss Paper
Bazzil Card Stock

Curtain Call Challenge

Hi, today the design team from Peachy Keen Stamps has been asked to join in on the fun and create projects for the Curtain Call Challenge based on the following picture.

So here is what I came up with:

For the little bird and the sentiment, I used PKS: Happy Bird and Phrases. I stamped and paper pieced the main body of the little bird. I cut out the legs using the Cottage Cutz Happy Bird Die. I outlined the bird with a Copic marker and a white gel pen. Then I chalked his cheeks with Pebbles chalk ink

I stamped the sentiment on a die cut from My Creative Time. The doily, banner, leaves, and the 4x4 square are also from MCT.

I cut the flower out using a Spellbinders die. I inked the edges with Heidi Swapp Coral ink. Then I added some Glossy Accents to the petal tips and then added some clear glitter. It is hard to see but I added a large white pearl to the center of the flower.

All products used:
