My Creative Time: Inspiration Wednesday

Hi, today is Inspiration Wednesday over on the My Creative Time Blog

I was searching for different ways to use the fabulous Milk Carton die and I came across an amazing tutorial over on the DoStamping Blog with Dawn. She shared how she combined two milk cartons together to create another fun gift box. So I wanted to see if I could create something similar with the MCT die.

I followed her tutorial by cutting out two milk cartons and then cutting off the last panel on each of them. I then cut out the window using the Fun Stitched Tag Dies. I cut up packaging I had to seal the window. Then I added the accent piece cut from the same die.

I made my side accent rectangles a little bigger than she suggests. I wanted mine to cover most of the area. I first added the little banners from the Stitched Party dies. I then added the cute little birthday birdies from the Tweet Me Stamp Set. I cut them and their little hats out using the Fun Tweet Me Dies. I colored the hats, the beaks, and feet in with Copic markers. I added the small hearts from the same die set as well.

When I put it together, the bottom tabs do not cover the whole bottom as her's did. So I just cut out a circle from the Bunch of Fun Circles dies and glued it on top. I then used my Crop-a-dile to cut two holes and tied my ribbon through them to close the box.

The tag was created using the combination of the new Fun Stitched Tag Dies and the Mini Chalkboard Tags Stamp Set. I adhered it to the bow using a Recollection's mini clothespin.

Then I added my sweet homemade cupcake in the box. Now I have a sweet way to give a birthday cupcake using the Milk Carton Die. So glad I stumbled upon her amazing tutorial with wonderful inspiration!

Thank you so much for stopping by!! Have a wonderful day!!

Today I am showcasing the new super cute "Tweet Me", "Fun Tweet Me Dies", and "Every Little Things (Freebie)".

Every time I see the freebie stamp I get Bob Marley's song stuck in my head! So I decided to go out of my comfort zone and try something different inspired by Bob Marley.

The base of my card was cut out using the Stitched Rectangular Frame Dies. Then I stamped the yellow, green, and red paint splotches all over it from the Family Is Everything Stamp set. My son even helped me stamp on some of them.

I then stamped and colored the three little birdies from the Tweet Me Stamp Set with Copic markers. I added white gel pen accents and then put glossy accents on each one. Once they were dried, I cut them out using the coordinating Fun Tweet Me Dies

The yellow and red heart were cut also from the Fun Tweet Me Dies. The smaller green heart came from the heart kitty cat glass which are from the You Had Me At Meow Stamp set. I then put glossy accents on it as well.

Then I cut out the music notes also from the Fun Tweet Me Dies and glued them above the cute little birdies. I added glossy accents to them as well.

I finished the card by stamping on the Every Little Things Stamp sentiment and added a few coordinating sequins to go along with the rest of the card.

"FREEBIE STAMP"

Hi, and welcome back for the fourth and final day of sneak peeks for the My Creative Time's 41st Edition Release. Today we are showcasing the new "Tweet Me", "Fun Tweet Me Dies", and "Every Little Things".

I have a super tweet card to share with you all today.

I created my card base with the scallop die from Bunch of Fun Circles. I cut out a smaller circle from the same set and then stamped on the Cartoon Cloud Background. I then cut a mat circle using my Cricut.

I stamped the little birdie from the new Tweet Me Stamp set and colored him with Copic markers. I also added some glitter to his heart tail. I then cut him out using the new coordinating Fun Tweet Me dies. I also cut out the branch, leaves, music notes, and heart all from the same die set. I added glossy accents to the leaves and music notes. I used red Stickles on the heart.

I stamped the sentiment also from the Tweet Me Stamp set on to one of the new Fun Stitched Tag dies  from day 2 of sneak peeks.

I finished the card by added a cute little Stitched Pretty Flower and bow to match my tweet little birdie.

MCT: 41st Release: Sneak Peeks Day #3

Hi, it's day 3 of sneak peeks for the My Creative Time: 41st Release! We have two beautiful sets we are showcasing today, "Love You Bunches" and "Jr. Rolled Flower Dies".

I used Stitched Rectangular Frame and More dies for the base of my card. I colored the three roses with Copic markers. I used just three roses to signify my mom, myself, and my brother. I then cut them out with the coordinating dies from the Love You Bunches Stamp set.  I then stamped on the sentiment from the same set onto the layering die cut also from the Stitched Rectangular Frame and More dies Then I added little sequins throughout the card from my stash. A simple but elegant way to let my mom know how much she means to me!

For this card, I used Stitched Rectangular Frame and More dies for the base as well. I cut the Stitched Doily out of Vellum. Then I adhered two circles on to the doily. I cut one out with Bunch of Fun Circles and the mat layer out with my Cricut. I then stamped on the sentiment from the new Love You Bunches Stamp set

For my roses, I used the new Jr. Rolled Flower dies along with the Original Rolled Flower dies. Each of my roses are two flowers glued together. I inked the edges of the petals with coordinating Memento inks. Then I added the the leaves from the Stitched Pretty Flowers and Leaves die set.

I cut out a cute little butterfly from the Pretty Butterflies and Dragonfly die set. I added glitter to the butterfly and to the center of each rose.

I tied on some shear ribbon and added another cute little rose to the bow. I decided use see through items such as the ribbon/Vellum because I love this beautiful paper from Simple Stories!! It's so pretty I wanted it to be seen still!! I sprinkled some sequins on and glued them down where they landed. Another elegant card to give to my mom!

MCT: 41st Release: Sneak Peeks Day #2

Hi, and welcome back for day 2 of sneak peeks for the My Creative Time's 41st Release! Today we are showcasing the new "Fun Stitched Tag Dies".

I first use the Milk Carton Die to cut out the shamrock pattern paper. Then I used one of the new fun tags to cut out the window in the carton. I then cut up some packaging I had to put in the window. I used the same tag to cut out the gold accent piece.

I love that this new set has a tag that fits perfectly with the Mini Chalkboard Tags set from last month's release. I used them both and then stamped on the sentiment from the I Believe in Leprechauns Stamp set. Then I stamped on the two little green clovers onto the tag and added the little gold clover to the mini clothes pin from the I'm a Lucky Girl Stamp Set. Then I filled it with yummy Rolos! A fun little treat in honor of St. Patrick's Day!!

MCT: 41st Release: Sneak Peeks Day #1

Yay!!! It's finally day 1 of sneak peeks for the My Creative Time's 41st Release!! This is an amazing release and you are going to love it all!!

Today we are showcasing the new "Circle Stitched Pattern" die. This die is so much fun to work with!! You can create so many wonderful combinations of backgrounds with it!!

I used the die all over my background paper and then used it as a map for where my circles would go. I created the four different sizes of circles using my Cricut, Stitched Camera Die, and Picture Perfect Stamp Set Dies. Then I stamped each one with the background stamps from the Build a Banner Set. I carefully glued each of them in the stitched circles. I used one of the circles from Bunch of Fun Circles to cut out a hole in the card stock.

I then colored and cut out my kitty cat from You Had Me At Meow Stamp Set. I used the paw print die from this set to help the kitty look like it was peeking out of the card to say "Hello". I then added the sentiment and tag from the Teeny Tag Greeting Stamp Set. I finished the card by adding a little twine bow to the tag.

My Creative Time: What A Treat Wednesday

Hi, today is What a Treat Wednesday over on the My Creative Time Blog

We planned to celebrate my daughter's birthday on her actual day but we had something unexpected come up. So we had to celebrate the day before. I didn't have her cake done so we got a store bought one for her day before celebration. Well, since I had all the supplies, I went ahead and made her a little cake for her special day. I don't think she minded at all!

I got the idea for the little smash cake from this post on Pinterest. I made mine a little bigger to accommodate my cake topper. Which I also got the idea from this post on Pinterest.

I got the straws on clearance in Jo-Anns for a dollar. I was so happy to find them that cheap. I first created the banner using MCT: Build a Banner Kit. I stamped on the "ONE" using MCT: Circle Font Stamp Set  I then tied it onto the straws using American Crafts Twine. Then I added two heart from the MCT: Stitched Layering Hearts. Very simple but added a cool unique topper to the cake!

Thank you so much for stopping by!! I hope you have a wonderful day!!

My Creative Time: Made In Minutes

Hi, today is Made In Minutes over on the My Creative Time blog. I've created this birthday banner of my daughter's first year.

I first cut out the two shades of pink polka dot paper Scallops and Stitched Circles. Then I cut out the numbers for each month using Number Fun Dies.

I glued each month onto clothespins that I got at Target.

Then I found some polka dotted ribbon I had left over from another project and added the clothespins with the coordinating pictures onto the ribbon.

A simple banner that was easy to created thanks to MCT products!! Love how it turned out and how it created the cutest background for her cake pictures!

Thank you so much for stopping by!!

Please head on over to the My Creative Time Blog to see the rest of the design team's amazing creations!!

My Creative Time: Die of the Month

Hi! Today we are featuring another "My FAVORITE stamp OR die of the Month!"  This month we are featuring the "Stitched Heart Layering Dies".  If this set of dies have been on your wish list, you can pick this set up HERE at a discount price!
This set will be on sale for the entire month of March! The sale will end on March 31st, 2015 @ 12:00am PST!

So here is what I've created featuring the wonderful "Stitched Heart Layering Dies" along couple other MCT products.

I decided I wanted to create an Ombre card. I found some Recollection's Heart paper that the smallest heart from this set covered up perfectly! This was time consuming but it really helped with the spacing as well as lining things up. The hearts were cut out of Recollection's Pinks and Gold card stock. I then matted it with the second lightest shade of pink card stock. I went with this color since this shade of hearts were covered up with the Vellum.

I added the strip of Vellum and then glued on the word "Love" from the Family Is Everything stamp set. I then cut out the two little hearts from the You Had Me At Meow Stamp Set's kitty cat heart glasses.
