MCT: Do Over Thursday

Hi, today is Do Over Thursday over on the My Creative Time blog. I had created a couple of fun treat sleeves for this month's release. I didn't dislike my other ones but I thought it would be fun to combine the two as well as add a bit more flare to the sleeve.

Once again, I used the fabulous Stitched Treat Sleeve Die with the polka dotted paper. Then I cut out the window using the Scallop Stitched Oval Dies. Next time I want to try a circle to show the cookie more. Though I love how the little label fits so nicely in the oval! I then added very thin acetate paper on the back to cover the window.

I used the Stitched Belly Band Dies to cut out the pretty red foil band as well as the label layers. I then cut out the beautiful Dec25th Die in red glitter paper and then again in gold foil paper. I added two little gold dots on the side using the little holly dies from the Holiday Tags Stamp and Die Set.

I then cut out another scallop layer of the treat sleeve in the gold foil and added it to the top of the treat sleeve. I really like how it dresses up the treat sleeve more than before. I then finished by adding a couple of holly leaves and berries also from the Holiday Tags

Here were my original treat sleeves:

My Creative Time: 47th Edition Release: Blog Hop

Hi and welcome to the My Creative Time: 47th Edition: Blog Hop.

If you have made it here from Cindy's blog then you are in the right place. If you have just stopped by or have gotten lost along the way please head on over to Emma's Blog for the full hop order.

Today, I am showcasing the fabulous new Stitched Treat Sleeve Die along with the beautiful freebie for this release, Dec25.  I just love both of these along with the whole release.

When I saw the freebie, I just knew I wanted to create an Advent calendar. I had seen them throughout the years on Pinterest and always wanted to try one. Though I just never seemed to find the time or drive to get one completed. Thankfully, this die was the driving force to kick me in gear to get one started and finished. It was so much fun to create, however, it was a bit time consuming. It took me a lot longer than I thought it would to get it looking just how I wanted. I really love how it turned out using all of Emma's amazing products!!

I first cut out 24 milk cartons using the Milk Carton Die in various pattern papers. They were a combinations of Paper Studio and Bazzil Card Stock. When making these for an advent calendar I would recommend using the thicker card stock. They hold up much better than the thinner pattern paper. I then wrapped each one with strips of paper I cut out using the new Stitched Belly Band Dies. I added onto the strips a pretty doily that was cut out using the Bunch of Stitched Doily Dies.  I cut out the numbers using the Number Fun Dies + Add Ons Set in green foil paper and red glitter paper. I then added them onto the doilies.

I cut out 24 red and green card stock bows using the ever so cute Fun Size Scallop Stitched Bow Die. I added pretty gold glittery bells to each of the bows that I cut out using the Warm Holiday Fun Stamp Set. Once I had the milk cartons all finished I clipped them onto the frame using some mini wooden clothes pins.

I then created the special little box for Christmas day. I used the same red glittery paper to cut out my Milk Carton. It was a bit of a challenge to find an adhesive that would hold the milk carton together because of all the glitter. I had to use a combination of tape and Tombow Liquid glue. I wanted to make this one look somewhat like a Santa suit. So I cut the Stitched Belly Band out in black card stock. Then I cut another one out in white card stock and used the same die to cut it in half for the front of the suit. I then cut out the label layers for the belt buckle and added the pretty Dec25 Die Freebie cut out on top of them. I embellished it with a cute little star button that was cut using the Stitched Button Dies that I added to the white strip of the suit. I finished it by adding a gold Fun Size Scallop Stitched Bow to the top and then clipped it onto the frame.

I created a cute little Merry Christmas sign using the Stitched Rectangular Frame DiesStitched Belly Band Dies, and the Scallop Stitched Oval Dies. I added the cut out sentiments and holly from the new Holiday Tags Stamps and Dies

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

For my second project, I used the fun new Stitched Treat Sleeve Die. I love this new die!! So grateful that Emma created it!! I can't wait to make a bunch of cookie treat bags with these and hopefully make someone day a little sweeter!

Once again I wanted to create this treat sleeve a little on the simpler side so that way it would be easier to be able to create a bunch of them. I also wanted to create a peek-a-boo window so that way you could see the yummy cookie. I really love how this turned out!!

I first cut out my lovely Stitched Treat Sleeve and then cut a oval window in it using the Scallop Stitched Oval Dies. I added a very thin piece of acetate paper on the bag of the window. Then I cut the Stitched Belly Band out of gold foil paper. I used the beautiful label layers also from the Stitched Belly Band Dies. I cut out the pretty die sentiment "joy" along with the holly from the new Holiday Tags Stamps and Dies. Very simple yet elegant for the upcoming holiday season and will hopefully bring some joy into someone's life! I know it would make my day to receive a treat like this!!

MCT: 47th Edition Release: Sneak Peeks Day 4

Hi, and welcome to day 4 of sneak peeks for the My Creative Time: 47th Edition Release. Today we are sneaking a fabulous new treat die called the Stitched Treat Sleeve Die along with the fun Dec25 Freebie Die for this release.

I'm so excited that Emma created another treat die!! I wanted to share a couple of examples I created using these beautiful new dies. I wanted to keep them very simple because that way they would be easier to mass produce if you wanted to make up a bunch for a party or for whatever occasion you needed a lot. I really like how they turned out.

I first used the new Stitched Treat Sleeve Die to cut Parchment Paper out for the lovely Chocolate Chip cookies I made with my son. After I adhered them together, I used my Cuttlebug to emboss the treat sleeves. For the Christmas themed one I used the Cuttlebug Large Snowflakes Embossing Folder. The love themed one was embossed with the Cuttlebug Ben-Day Dots Embossing Folder. I learned that Parchment Paper is not the easiest to get your adhesive to stick too.  Though I made it work somehow. I then cut out the Stitched Belly Band Dies for each one. I used the Belly Band Stamps and the Stitched Belly Band Dies to embellish the front of the cookie sleeves. I cut the pretty new Dec25 Freebie Die using red sparkly paper and adhered it to the label. I also embellished them with twine and little diamond gems. I filled the sleeves with some Crinkle Shreds I got at the Dollar Store and then added the yummy cookies.

MCT: 47th Edition Release: Sneak Peeks Day 3

Hi, and welcome to day 3 of sneak peeks for the My Creative Time: 47th Edition Release. Today we are sneaking a couple of sets called the Belly Band Stamps and the Stitched Belly Band Dies. They are so fun to work with!! When I was creating with the Holiday Tag Stamp Set for yesterday's sneak, I got inspired by some of the dies in the set to create this card. I just took the same concept as the fun little Santa suit dies in the tag set and just created the suit on a bigger scale. I love how it turned out!

I first cut my red sparkly background paper out using the Stitched Rectangular Frame Dies. I then matted it with black card stock and then adhered it to my card base. I used the Stitched Belly Band Die to cut out the black and white strips for the belt and the front of the coat. I used The Stitched Rectangular Frame Dies again to make the Belly Band strips the same size of the red background paper. After I adhered the strips onto my card, I cut out three gold buttons using the Stitched Button Dies to add to the white Belly Band. I cut out the fun label layers also from the new Stitched Belly Band Dies for the belt buckle. I then used Versamark Ink along with Recollection's Gold Embossing Powder to add the sentiment from the new Belly Band Stamps. I cut out two little holly leaves using the Boughs of Holly Stamp Set and added Clear Wink of Stella on them. I finished by adding a couple of red dots that I cut out from the new Holiday Tag Stamp Set

MCT: 47th Edition Release: Sneak Peeks Day 2

Hi, and welcome to day 2 of sneak peeks for the My Creative Time: 47th Edition Release. You are going to love today's sneaks!! We are sneaking a fun new set called, "Holiday Tag". There are so many combinations of tags you can create with this set! I only used the amazing dies from this set on mine.but there are also so many fun stamps to use on them as well.

I first wrapped all my little boxes and added the foil curling ribbon to each one. I cut the first die layer out from the new Holiday Tag stamp set using burlap paper. Then I cut the other layer out using white card stock. I cut each of the words out in red glitter paper and glued them onto the tags. I embellished them with the cute little Christmas trees and Holly dies. On my little trees, I added little dots of gold Stickles to look like little Christmas ornaments on them.  I tied the tags onto my presents and now they are all ready to go! Love how easy and fun these tags are to make. They really add a wonderful element to that special gift for someone!

MCT: Tag It Tuesday

Hi, today is Tag It Tuesday over on the My Creative Time Blog. I have a cute tag to share today in honor of the autumn season which is upon us. Even though where I live it feels like summer still!

For my tag, I used the lovely Tag Dies along with the Tag Die Layers. I then layered onto it a vellum strip that I had cut out using the Trio Stitched Banner die. I stamped on the sentiment from the Fall Friends stamp set using Versamark ink along with Recollection's Snow Embossing Powder. I added a small oval onto my tag using the Scallop Stitched Oval die.

I stamped and colored the adorable little beaver, the leaves, and pumpkin, all from the Fall Friends stamp set as well. Then I cut each one out with the coordinating die. I stamped the tree stump onto brown Recollection's card stock and fussy cut it out.  I added my brown jutte ribbon to the top and tied it with the burlap cord twine. I finished by adding some gold mini sequins. Love how cute it all turned out!!

Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons: Guest Designer

Hello, I am honored to be a guest designer today for Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons!! Lisa has so many adorable cut files in her store and I had so much fun working with her beautiful Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons: Mermaid Cut Files along with her oh so cute Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons: Happy Clam Cut Files

I first cut out all the pieces to the clam and then inked the edges with a coordinating Memento Ink. I then adhered the pieces together and then added it to the shape card I created by welding two clams together in my cutting program.

I morphed the little mermaid a bit to get her head and hair just the way I wanted using Lisa's original designs. I added an ever so adorable Peachy Keen Stamps: Princess Face Assortment face. I chalked her cheeks, added white gel pen accents to her eyes, and colored her lips in with a Copic marker. Then I cut all the rest of the pieces out and adhered them together to create my beautiful little mermaid. I added Wink of Stella to her little shell top, the star in her hair, and the top of her tail to give them a bit of sparkle.

I embellished my card with a fun starfish that was cut out using the My Creative Time: Surf's Up Stamp Set. I stamped the little kelp from the  and colored it with a Copic marker. I then added the sentiment also from the My Creative Time: You're A Great Catch stamp set using Versamark ink along with Recollection's Snow Embossing Powder. I finished the card by adding coordinating sequins all over the card.

Thank you so much for stopping by!! Have a wonderful day!!

MCT: Trending Now

Hi, today we are creating projects that are Trending Now over on the My Creative Time blog. The trend we are working with today is, Wanderlust. A few definitions are: 1. A very strong or irresistible impulse to travel. 2. strong longing for or impulse toward wandering 3. the irresistible and overwhelming feeling to join nature, fresh air and high mountains by hiking or climbing. I chose to focus on the traveling and knew I wanted to use the ever so cute little paper airplane.

My background map pattern paper was cut out using the Stitched Square Dies Inside & Out. Which I matted and created my card base around. Love these dies along with the Stitched Rectangular Frame dies. They make card making so much easier!! If you haven't gotten either of them yet, I highly recommend them!

I used Versamark ink along with Recollection's Gold embossing powder to stamp down my heart trail using the stamp from the Fun Paper Airplane die. I didn't have any gold glittery paper on hand, so I just made some with the same embossing powder. I then cut out the super cute little Fun Paper Airplane. Then I glued on a adorable little heart from the Seasonal Greetings stamp set. I cut out a few more and then added them all around my little paper airplane.

I added the fun little banner using the Fun Stitched Tag dies. I then stamped the sentiment from The Sky Is The Limit Stamp Set onto the Trio Stitched Banner die. I added couple of glitter hearts to the banner using the Seasonal Greetings stamp set again.

I finished by embellishing the card with some gold cord along with mini gold sequins.
