MCT: Scrapping the Little Things

Hi, today is Scrapping The Little Things over on the My Creative Time blog

The sentiment from the new MCT: You Make My Heart Smile Stamp Set, "You Hold The Key To My Heart", inspired me to create this layout!! My three wonderful blessings will forever hold the keys to mine! I am so grateful to be their mom!!

So I snapped a few pictures of my kids and then started creating! I love how it turned out!! I ended up using 16 wonderful MCT sets!! I love that you can mix and match all of Emma's wonderful products!! They make it so much easier when creating a layout!!

I used the MCT: Stitched "Capture" Frame Die to frame each of their pictures. I wrapped twine around the base of the frames. I added silver foil keys from MCT: Chunky Jar Accessories to the twine as well.

I stamped each of their names onto a tag using the MCT: Just Simply Live Stamp Set. I love this font so much!! The tag is from MCT: Teeny Tag Layering Die which is the die of the month for January!! If this set of dies have been on your wish list, you can pick this set up here at a discount price. The sale will end on January 31, 2015 @ 12:00am PST!

The large heart and the small black hearts are dies from the new MCT: Heart 2 Heart Frame Dies!! These are definitely a must have in my book!! I stamped the large red heart with the MCT: Grainy Wood Background Stamp and cut a key hole out using a tag from MCT: Chunky Jar Accessories. Then I added the white outline heart also from Heart 2 Heart.

The banner was made using the MCT: Build a Banner Kit. So nice to have the pattern stamps to make the red card stock look like it has a different textures with these stamps! I then added little hearts from the MCT: Seasonal Greetings Stamp Set

I started the layout title using the MCT: Uppercase Fun Dies and MCT: Lowercase Fun Dies. Then at the bottom I cut out three rectangles using the MCT: Square Stitched Goody Dies and MCT: Love to Learn Dies and Stamps. I had to create the word "to" from MCT: Oh Deer Stamp Set and MCT: A Thankful Heart Stamp Set so that it would match the font of the other words. The words "heart" and "my" are both from the new You Make My Heart Smile Stamp Set. I then adhered them carefully to each one.

I then added a few more hearts using MCT: Stitched Sweethearts Dies, MCT: Seasonal Greetings Stamp Set, and Heart 2 Heart Frame Dies. I stamped the pattern on the red hearts using the MCT: Build a Banner Kit.

MCT: What a Treat Wednesday

Hi, today is What a Treat Wednesday over on the My Creative Time blog. We are creating containers, treats and/or packagings with our My Creative Time stamps and dies! So I decided to make a "beary" cute treat bag topper.

I first stamped the adorable little bear from MCT: Beary Special Thoughts Stamps set. I masked the eyes and then used the eyes from Peachy Keen Stamps: Teddy Bear Face Assortment. I colored him in with Copic markers and then cut him out using MCT: Bear Dies. I love having these bear dies so you don't have to fussy cut them out anymore!! So thankful Emma created them!! Saves so much time!!

For the base of the topper, I used the largest rectangle from MCT: Rectangular Frame Dies to cut out The Paper Studio: heart pattern paper. I then scored it down the middle and folded it. I inked the edges with Memento: Rosebud Ink.

I used MCT: Treat Slider Die to create the scallop strip in the middle of the topper. I had to cut two of them out to fit across. I then crisscrossed some pink and white American Crafts twine down the center of the strip.

I stamped the sentiment also from MCT: Beary Special Thoughts Stamps set onto the labels from MCT: Rectangular Frames and More Dies.

I gave the cute little bear a heart balloon and added another little heart in the corner using the new MCT: Best Bots Forever Stamp Set.

I added the Teddy Grahams to Celebrate It: 4.75 in x 6.75 in. Transparent Archival Bags and then adhered the bear toppers to them. Though I folded my bags down just a tad bit so I didn't have to fill them so full.

Well that's my project!! I hope I inspired you to use your MCT dies and stamps in a fun new way!

Thank you so much for stopping by!! I hope you have a wonderful day!!

MCT: 39th Release: Blog Hop

Welcome to the My Creative Time 39th Edition Release Blog Hop!

If you have made it here from Cindy's blog then you are in the right place. If you have just stopped by or have gotten lost along the way please head on over to Emma's Blog for the full hop order.

Today I am showcasing the new super cute "Best Bots Forever" & the elegant "Heart to Heart Frame Dies".

I wanted to create a pretty shaker card using these beautiful heart frame dies!! So glad that Miss Emma created them!!

I wanted the word "Love" to go in the center of the heart. So I cut it out of the center heart and layered another piece of a heart on the back to create the solid outline. Then I just carefully glued it on top of the acetate paper along with the "love" and "you". After adding dimensional pop dots, I filled the card with the red sequins and adhered a piece of white card stock on the back. I finished it off by adding the bow to the top. I really like how my shaker card turned out! So pretty!

Products used:
Paper Studio Pattern Paper
Recollection's Card Stock
Acetate Paper
Dollar Tree Seqins
Details and Accessories Grosgrain Black Ribbon

I thought it would be fun to create a fun little Valentine's day treat box with these adorable little robots!

I really liked how Miss Emma had used acetate on a treat slider box she had created (you can find it here) so the candy could be seen, so I wanted to use the same concept for mine with candy conversation hearts. I cut the box cover out of acetate I had from an old embossing folder packaging. So for once it was smart to hoard my scrapbook trash. Hee Hee! The bottom was cut from Recollection's Red card stock. I colored the little girl bot with Copic markers and paper pieced her bow/center. I layered her on top of the candy cover to give her a bit of dimension from the treat box. I tied twine around the end and added the tiny red heart to the center of the bow. I then finished it by adding the sentiment on a vintage label die cut

These would be so fun for kids to give out to their friends and classmates for Valentine's day!

Products used:
Best Bots Forever
Treat Slider Box Dies
 Vintage Stitched Label Dies
Stitched Heart Layering Dies
Copic Markers
American Crafts Twine

Sweetart's Conversation Candy Hearts

PPRR: Guest Designer

Hi, I am so excited to Guest Design for Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons!! I just love their adorable cut files!!

For the card base, I used PPPR: A2 Card Bases 1 Cutting Files. Love having these card bases!! They make creating a card so much easier!! The pink paper is Recollection's and the pattern paper is Bazzil. I also added a bit of ribbon from my stash to embellish it.

The oh so adorable hippo and birdie were cut from PPPR: Safari Love 2 Cutting Files. There are so many cute animals in this set!! Love them all! Though I just knew I wanted to create this fun birthday card using the hippo and his adorable little sidekick.

I used Peachy Keen Stamps: Tear Kitty Face Parts to stamp the eyes on the hippo. I used Peachy Keen Stamps: Chickie Face Assortment for the cute little birdie's face. His little hat was stamped and paper pieced from Peachy Keen Stamps: Lil' Tweets Birthday. I colored his hat in with Copic markers. I chalked both of their cheeks and mouths with Inkadinkado chalk ink and added white gel pen accents.

I cut out the sentiment using a label die cut from Jaded Blossom and pop dotted it onto the card. I then finished the card by adding some Recollection's Enamel Dots.

Thank you so much for stopping by!! Have a wonderful crafty day!!

For the elf's face I used Peachy Keen Stamp's The Moodies 2 1/4" faces. They just happened to be the perfect size for his face! I colored the eyes in with a Copic marker and chalked his cheeks.

The sentiment from Peachy Keen Stamps: Oh By Golly matches perfectly with this wonderful elf cut file. I stamped it onto a label from Jaded Blossom: Card Mat Dies in Memento Tuxedo Black Ink.
